All prescriptions take at leas three full working days before they are ready for collection, and you should re-order at least one week before you run out.
- Ordering via your pharmacy (some pharmacies now request that orders are made one week before you run out of your medication); or
- Ordering over the internet – via NHS Wales App; or
- Post requests to the surgery / drop in post box outside from door.
Please allow extra time over weekends or Bank Holidays.
Repeat prescriptions are normally authorised for between three and six months – the re-order slip shows a review date and you may be asked to arrange an appointment with your Doctor before further supplies are ordered.
We cannot take orders for any type of medication over the main Practice telephone number.
You can now choose to collect your medication from any of the pharmacies in town, and some provide a home delivery service – ask your local pharmacy what they are able to provide.
NHS Wales app
From 16th October 2023 patients who are registered and use My Health Online will be informed that this is becoming part of the NHS Wales app. You will need to download the app and follow the onscreen instructions to continue using this service.
