All consultations to see a Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse or Health Care Assistant are by appointment only.
Please make an appointment by calling in or telephone the Practice on 01437-762333. The best time to telephone is between 8.30am and 5.00pm on Monday to Friday, but you may have difficulty getting through on Monday mornings.
Each appointment is ten minutes long, so please tell the receptionist if you need a longer appointment for any reason, e.g. Life Assurance medical, cervical smear etc.
“Urgent/Same Day” Appointments
Please telephone the Practice on 01437-762333 if you need to be seen urgently by your Doctor or other Health Care Professional.
Please let us know as soon as posible, so that your appointment can be offered to someone else.
If you have a query which you feel can be resolved over the telephone, the receptionist will try to put you through to the appropriate person – Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse, Health Care Assistant, District Nurse or Health Visitor.
If the problem is not an emergency, the receptionist may ask you to leave a message, rather than interrupt consultations or delay surgeries.
If you wish to speak to a Doctor direct, the best time to telephone is between 11.30am – 12.30pm
For direct advice from a Practice Nurse, please telephone between 12.45pm – 1.00pm.
Home visits are for patients who are genuinely unable through illness or infirmity, to come to the Practice.
Please telephone us on 01437-762333 as soon as possible, preferably before 10.00am. This helps the Doctors plan their visits more efficiently.
The Receptionis will ask you about your problem, and take details of your name, address and telephone number.
The Doctor may telephone you before coming to see you to establish whether a home visit is necessary.
You may not be visited by the Doctor of your choice.
